itakepicturesandshit: There is nothing like peering into what appears to be complete darkness to our eyes, and then looking through a telescope and seeing tens of stars.On that note, here is my homemade telescope. It may be a Nikon 300mm f/2.8 but I still designed and built the eyepiece holder and I can proudly say that it is the fastest 300mm telescope in the world. Not the greatest honor considering 300mm is a pretty short focal length for a telescope, but still. So far I have seen M41, M42, Cloud belts on Jupiter, 4 of Jupiter’s moons, a binary star system, and countless star clusters.I am very excited to say the least. Incredible.
